A bit late posting, but my goal was to run a ParkRun. So when I heard there was a Christmas Day Parkrun local to me, I knew I had to do it.
I planned to run for 30 minutes then walk and run the last bit. However, with a huge crowd and the amazing atmosphere, I actually ran most of the 5k, with just a couple of short walking sections. I hadn't expected a great time but was over the moon to finish in under 37 minutes!
Needless to say, dear admin, I have suffered from muscle stiffness for a few days, but no hip or knee niggles. I'll be back to the 30 minute consolidation runs next week ...

well done youβ¦sounds like you set off at quite a rate though?!! Iβm not going to say it because you know what the problem was (naughty naughty π€£π΅βπ«)
Next time, Iβm sure having learnt an important lesson, you will come away with stiffness in your face from smiling so much π
