Morning all.

I just broke with tradition this morning and ran before work. 5am to be precise. Never done it before. I have always run late afternoon/early morning. It was good. Nice and quiet with minimum traffic. Remains to be seen how I fare for the rest of the day. That was W8/run 2. What do you prefer?

Definitely AM for me Baggieboy61 . I like to get out there and let the fresh air blow the cobwebs away. Afternoons are kept for my music sessions. I play guitar , sing and record.😀

5.55 am runs for me! Was supposed to be 6.00am but I’m always early! Can’t imagine running evenings, very much an early bird.

Morning running all the way! The earlier the better! Well done on the run 👍🏻

🍏👍👏 Nothing to beat the crisp early morning, dawn chorus & sunrises!! However other times of day bring different gifts. For me it would be morning by choice but a bit of mix and match to get the run done when necessary.

I used to run after dark so no-one would see me. But now it's late afternoon, just before dusk. Still puffing and panting, but less bothered now about others and it feels safer in the daylight. I'd love to go in the morning but I struggle to get out of bed 😴💤

When I started to try to run (failed) 10 yrs ago, zi always went after dark for same reason. Now I’m ten years older I am not self-conscious like that. It’s great actually, everyone seems to smile at a white and grey haired woman jogging slowly along.

Like you, I’m not a lark, never have been but always wanted to be! This is a lady-ditch attempt to try to change that coz by the evening i’m too tired now 😩

Since I retired I can run when I want but when I was working I ran a mixture of morning or early evening, fresher in the morning but couldn't get up early enough to run before work so mornings were days off

Hi there Baggieboy61 ..I absolutely LOVE sneaking out of the house while everyone’s asleep to get my runs in…early morning is DEF my favourite time…but..when I haven’t had enough sleep I do like to go after 6pm when it’s dark..especially when it’s raining…did I say that out loud?! 🤣

I'm quite a night owl so have a shifted day. My only morning, 10am run was before breakfast for me. I've been out at most other hours pre dusk.

Early bird... I graduated in 2015 at 6.30 a.m. I don't usually. run as early now but I do try and get out before 8.am...

The best start to any day and a good breakfast afterwards of course! I have latterly tried shaking it up, mostly through necessity, as life is throng a lot of spanners in the works, and I have found some new joys there!

Well done you!

Definitely an early morning for me. The earlier the better. Although I have done a few early evening runs I much prefer to be out early and see the 🌅.

I've done runs at all times of the day, even in the middle of the night! (I have a very bright head torch.)

I used to be self-conscious about running but that disappeared quickly.

I do like morning running, but metabolically speaking, evening running is better.

At the moment I'm trying to fit in lunchtime runs.
