I graduated C25K a couple of weeks ago and have surprised myself! Not only did I enjoy the interval training on the graduate runs but I have also set a goal of running a5k event in December š®. This running park could be addictive!

Revelations
Thatās fantastic! I really enjoy events-thereās so much positivity and fun to be had. Iāve got a nice collection of bling starting now! Have you got a particular event in mind?
Those post couch to 5k runs are great arenāt they! Have you got a plan to get to 5k or are you just going to gradually build? The app has some good advice about increasing slowly.
Apologies is Iāve suggested this before, but you might like to join in the quest over on Bridge to 10kā¦set your own goals and get encouraged. Weāve got a real range from people walking regularly to people marathon training. Thereās a new post this morning.,,

Iām doing the Mental Health Elf run in aid of Mind It was advertised in a free newsletter. Itās a thought thatās been lurking for a while so I took the plunge and signed up before I could talk myself out of it.
Iām planning to complete the last graduate run and see how far that takes me in terms of distance as hoping I wonāt be too far off 5k.
I havenāt explored bridge to 10k yet so will take a look.
Iāll keep you posted on my progress. Thanks for all the support and encouragement.
That sounds like a wonderful event! Iāve done exactly the same with the events Iāve done-Iām terrible for going out for a run, having. A particularly good one and coming home and booking a race! I find knowing Iāve got to stand on a start line on a specific day to run a specific distance really helps keep me on track when the dark nights and rainy days come.
Youāve got some really sensible plans and I canāt wait to hear how you get on!
Well done! I'm not sure what to do next. I have somehow managed to get to week 8, but feel I am very slow!I also have anxiety, so possibly the travel will be the biggest challenge, but I would like to do some parkruns. I do want to get to 5k first though.
Well done for getting to week 8 and don't worry about speed. I find my fast walk is the same speed as my 'run'. It's the technique of running that's important, and once you graduate if you keep on with some consolidation runs, just going out for regular 30 minute runs, you will find that you gradually get a bit faster. And if you get to a Parkrun you can run/walk it, as lots of people do š
Iāve just completed the graduate runs and all have challenged me in different ways. For me speed isnāt my motivator, itās completing the challenge. If youāve got to week 8 youāve challenged yourself ā¦ just keep that up.
Well done, great cause to run for too. Good luck in it.
Congratulations!!
Well done on continuing your journey on the graduate runs and for making plans for a future event. Great way to keep yourself motivated.
I've looked up your race and they have two locations in London, so if I'm back, I'll run one too!!
