I feel I've had a fairly easy start as a runner in my 65th year. I almost cruised through C25K from January, and via JuJus Magic Plan to 10k in July, but then a gentle run in August brought me up short and stopped me running until last week. It's been a good reminder that just running and stretching are not enough, and that strengthening exercises are very important to avoid such injuries. I'm now back to 5k and realised how much I've been missing my solo runs, and parkrun. Just wanted to share - do those exercises guys and gals! There are links to workouts on the Strength and Flex forum, and I've found some good ones on YouTube.
