Well, can you believe it…?? It’s the first day of September…I absolutely love this time of year when everything that was bursting a few months ago is now going back to sleep…the colours that this brings will always be my favourite…I am looking forward to some rainy runs, I feel so invincible running in the rain…is that just me or is that a runners delight?

Thank you to  Folkylass for handing out the badges last month..

You have been working towards this day for a good few weeks and all that hard work deserves something shiny & I have my little elves polishing those well deserved badges until they are super shiny…

Please tell me how it’s gone?

How long did it take you?

How are you feeling now that you have got to the end of the programme??

We are so proud of you for putting all that hard work in…

So, if you’ve got to the end of the programme that’s why you’re here so….

⭐️ Please 'REPLY' to this post below to request your graduate badge

Please note that your badge will be seen next to your name on your posts and comments within Couch to 5K community only, but not on your profile page or other boards.

⭐️We really hope you will continue posting here in the Couch to 5K community, sharing your experience, encouraging new runners and updating us with your progress as you carry on running beyond the programme. The support doesn’t stop when you finish the programme!

⭐️If you would like a Graduation Certificate, there’s one for you to download right here.

Why not try this twelve week consolidation and strength training plan to help reduce the possibility of injury - and which you can super charge your running.

Massive congratulations to you

hello! I’m a returning runner, I used to run regularly up until COVID times. Then for one reason or another it dropped off and I lost all fitness over the last couple of years. I gained 2 stone and couldn’t run more than a couple of minutes without stopping. I downloaded my app at the beginning of May, took a 3 week holiday in the middle with lots of walking but no running, and did my last run yesterday, so a bit longer than 9 weeks. So pleased I’m back to running for 30 minutes. My quickest 5k ever was just below 25 minutes in the old days (about 10 years ago) and now I’m not covering 5k in 30 minutes, but that’s ok, I’m just enjoying being back out there again and I’m looking forward to what comes next in the unlocked bit of the app.

Hello, I wonder if I could request my graduation badge please?

I managed to graduate at the end of August and am so proud of myself. I tried the programme once before, many years ago, and got to week 6R1 and had to dip out due to an injured ankle. I’m much older, and was much less fit, this time but managed to graduate by taking my time, both during runs and throughout the programme. It took me a good few weeks longer than 9 weeks but for me it was worth it because it worked!

Being able to run has boosted my confidence, made me feel empowered and helped me to respect my body more. I’ve also dropped a little bit of weight which I’m pleased about because I’m prediabetic and am trying to combat that!

Boom! I finished today- a drizzly muggy run. I just posted on the wider chat to say I can’t believe I’ve managed it! Never would have believed it in week one if you told me I’d be running for 30mins.

May I have my graduation badge please? I started in July after years of sitting down all day for years. So many days of not even going outside - just working.

Am so happy I took up c25k. I run through rain and heat (safely. Hydrated. Never above 23 degrees I think). I run even when the little devil on my shoulder said it's easier to stay in. WK9 I had a 2 week mission abroad and only managed one treadmill run. But finally did my 2 Wk9 runs this week and couldn't be prouder. Running longer distances (averaging 4.5km at the moment) and feeling a tad fitter. If I can do this, almost anyone can do it.

You certainly can RunningMoo ..I’m admiring your determination & kicking those gremlins into touch…I should do that more often…I’m just pinning your badge on as we speak…congratulations!!! 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ 🥳🥳🥳

Hi Mummycav ! I graduated today 🙌 I'd love my badge (shined by elves, no less!) when you have a minute :) To answer your questions...

✨ How has it gone? Surprisingly well! Thanks to this forum I have been reminded to slow down and work on form first, which has really helped prevent injury which has been a stumbling block before.

✨ How long did it take? 9 weeks! I was fully prepared to repeat weeks if I needed to, but I think because I was consciously keeping my pace slow (and the weather was largely fine) the build up was just right for me.

✨ How do I feel now? proud, determined to build on my progress, grateful to all those who have inspired and supported me (knowingly and unknowingly!).

Thanks C25K and the HealthUnlocked C25K team!

so I think I might try the strength and flex consolidation programme. As I’m missing a bit with trying to work out what to do by myself! I tried the Steve Cram 35min in Beyond 5K which I really enjoyed. Then for the next run I did a 25 NRC Celebration run with Coach Bennett but could not cope with how much he talked! I am a talker so I quite like the clear headspace running gives me and just me and some beats and some gentle encouragement or timing. I don’t think CB is for me!
