Revisiting c25k after 6years and approaching 65 this summer, and can't seem to get it out of my head what I used to be able to do years back either. Anyway was due to do w5r3 this weekend but my head got the better of me, 1st cut of the grass and a bit of gardening in sunny Essex Saturday left me more tired than I thought, rainy Sunday morning should I go? easier not to, live at the top of a hill so all runs end with an uphill climb :(, but one positive though, think I've got my head around slow running now so thought I would revisit w5r2. Resulted in a mildly stronger run than Thursday and now I know that 20 minutes on Tuesday is mine for the taking. Oh and every time I get to the end of that homeward uphill I feel like rocky conquering the steps in the movie!! and apologies to any motorists who see the madman shouting to himself when Steve C says 60 seconds to go.
First post ever i think;Bottled w5r3 - Couch to 5K

Very well done you.... and that hill is making you stronger with every step.. I use one of my hills as a lovely warm up now, whereas , initially, the hills seemed so impossible.
You might of course... run out further and just use the hill as a cool down, but that would not give you the joy of that leap in the air and a shout of glee!
Brilliant... ! On you go!
Good man, you are clearly a lot fitter than me.

๐๐Well done & yes I well remember that lovely 60 seconds left feeling of elation!! Good run to revisit! You are on your way now!!

I have a confession to make. I have bottled w5r3 many times ๐ I've done c25k a few times, and sometimes I have to get my head right before I tackle that run with confidence. I've also used other running plans that have a different run format so it isn't a thing.
We get there in the end, it's all good๐

I am the same age as you and am repeating C25k as well. I am set to do W5R3 on Wednesday. ๐ฑ We know the programme works - we just have to believe in ourselves! Good on you for finishing on a hill though. Wow! I have a lovely flat cycle track to run on and won't hit the hills till after I've finished the 9 weeks. Wimp? Yes I am!!!! Good luck with the next one - you can definitely do it.
