Help - completed C25K last year - where next?!… 🏃‍♀️

Hi all 👋… so I completed c25k last year - started Jan 22 finished around March I think. I suffer with bronchiectasis so this was a fantastic achievement for me. Never run before not even at school, as would get breathless & start coughing. I’m 60 in a few weeks, proud to say… a ‘young’ 60!! 😃.. so yes, I do feel pretty good. Now… I’ve continued with my ‘gentle’ running, but it’s not the same as having the lovely Laura in my ear encouraging me on… So please tell me is there not a C210K, with the same method. I’ve tried the Nike 10K but absolutely not the same motivation.

it’s ok I’ll continue my running/walks forever now - but I’d love to know if there’s anything similar to the C25K Ap.

thx all … & good luck with yr running… it's an amazing achievement when you go out & do it 🏃‍♀️ 🥇 ✨🙌

Great to have you here and congratulations for all you’ve achieved! You might get better suggestions over on Bridge to 10k here…

I’m a Nike Run Club fan so don’t have another app in mind. I’m sure others will though!

Bridge to 10k is just another forum like this one, but with more people building to 10k! There’s a better chance someone will be able to recommend an app you might like. I don’t know the one you’ve seen, but hopefully someone else might. If it’s free, just give it a go! Any beginner’s training plan you can find will work-it’s just a case of finding one that suits you. I followed the magic plan over there but that’s paper based and not an app. Good luck!

🍏Lovely to hear your story & great you want to progress from 5K to 10K. There are many super training programs out there but when I googled apart from NRC I never came across an audio guided plan that was free and ad free! NRC is slightly different & you need to adjust to it but the training is world class. There is a new plan for getting 10K race ready which is excellent and adds in strength & Flex. Many of us are using it. Why don’t you pop across to the Bridge to 10K forum where someone may have another good idea for you!

This is an excellent plan that many, many of us have used as well but it’s not guided. You just use your own music or podcast.

So have a wee look, put a post on Bridge and ask other runners & hopefully we will soon have you running 10k 🙌

Depends what you want from the app.

Runkeeper gives you audible advice as you run. Like current time running, distance run, average pace.
