🎈✔️👍glad you enjoyed it apart from the nausea. Do you need a snack before running?? I have a bit of bio yoghurt before running & breakfast on my return. Stopped my nausea.

Brilliant thought. I literally clean my teeth and I’m out ( clothed of course🤪) been wondering about having something little before a run. A yogurt sounds ideal. Will give it a go !!!

Good hydration is important and might solve your problem. I have only had this a couple of times and it is horrid!

Thanks Helenwheels. Actually had to stop today for 30secs. Just horrid but eventually went. Been reading about it a little and hydration can defo play a part so gonna keep an eye on it

Could be hydration/nutrition as above... possibly you’re running too fast for your current fitness too, I’m following a HM plan and sometimes when it’s speed work day I get a little nauseous.

Half marathon... so running much further than I ever thought I would, but dreamed about, before I started.

The distance isn’t the issue... it’s just been a gentle progression for a year since completing C25K... pretty much anyone can do it. I love running at my comfortable pace. Some of the speed days I just ignore the target pace my plan gives me and go and enjoy the distance, so I’ll never be a racer, but I’ll get to the finish line wearing a big grin.

Some people can run on an empty stomach , some can't. Even some water and half a banana 30 minutes before your run might help . Good luck 😊

I just eat my normal breakfast and run about 1 hour later. Don't think I would have the energy any other way.

I always eat before I run, I have tried just a banana and I will feel nauseous about 3/4 way through the run. For me it is the opposite lack of food makes me queasy, if I have my full breakfast I am fine. 1-1.5 hours to settle and I am good to go. We are all a bit different when it comes to food and exercise. I saw one of BBC’s trust me I’m a doctor and they took two people and got them to exercise before food in the morning one felt really sickly and the other rocketed through the exercise. It was to see if the body metabolised fat better with exercise on an empty stomach and they both got polar opposite results. Try changing what you eat, hydration and see how you get on it might take a while to hit just the right thing but then you will find you just stick with it. Good luck. Rfc x

For my morning runs I have a cup of tea with soya milk and a banana. Tried running first thing with nothing at all and felt too weak. When I run later I have a full meal but wait for 2 hours before running. Hope you find something that suits you 😊
