When a run surprises you!

Anyone else find that the days you feel exhausted and not at all in the mood to run (but you still force yourself to go), turn out to be your best ones?!!! Tonight was my 3rd consolidation run since graduation and it turned out to be my fastest and furthest yet! I managed 4.14 km in 30 mins with an average speed of 7.19 mins a km on the back of really not feeling up to it!! Am super chuffed. 😊🏃🏼‍♀️

I’m hoping I have one of those days today! Not feeling good this morning but I’m supposed to be doing my W5R3 - I was supposed to do it yesterday but felt too rough (germs picked up from husband and kids I think). Don’t want to be behind by two days so I think I’m going to force myself out today... 🤞🏻

Good luck, but if you don’t feel well be kind to yourself 😊

Yes! I felt this doing c25k and in early consolidation runs. Whenever I felt great & really looking forward to the run, it would be a slog, and when worried about the run it would be fine. It’s setlled now though haven’t had this for a few weeks now! So hopefully it’ll pass for you too.

It’s Parkrun day today for me. I’m chomping at the bit to get out there. You never know until you are in the run whether it’s a good one or not. It’s sunny and flat calm. Let’s hope it’s a good one.

Kind of. Today I went for a Parkrun with 4 guys I haven't seen since school 45 years ago. That part was fine and fun, but I was concerned my right knee was playing up, so I was not entirely ready for it. The run felt slow (especially as the others are all better runners and left me well behind) but when I got my time, I discovered it was a PB by 26 seconds - 31:30 for the 5K. Really pleased with that. The half-hour target is getting closer!
