Not a good day

It was my first run after completing the C25K where I paid the price of consuming excessive amounts of Christmas turkey and mince pies. I pulled a calf muscle at the 26minute point and will need to rest it for now. I put it down to the extra weight 😂

🍏Oh so very sorry to hear that!! Hope you are Resting, ice , compression and elevating it to gain some relief and speed up the healing process. These injuries are usually from not warming up properly. or running faster than your fitness. Are you doing any strength and flex alongside your running? So helpful to prevent injury! I will pop in the link for you to read while you rest!! Not advisable to run until it’s healed & please see a GP or physio if the pain continues after first aid. 🤣many of us guilty of eating too much of the yummy festive foods sadly!

🍏so unfortunate for you but the runs will wait! We have all been on the Injury Couch at some time or other. Frustrating! Use the time to read up some running magazines or hop across to Bridge to 10k and read some of the posts there and get some inspiration for the future.
