hi all. Just signed up to this forum. Have done CouchTo5k a few times but not run for months and lost confidence (not to mention fitness!) Looking to build up to 5k+ again on newly acquired treadmill at home. Be good to gain tips and encouragement from others!πŸ™‚πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Well done you for getting the treadmill, no worrying about routes, dangers, other people :)

All you need to do now is use it for what it's designed for, not like my son whose very expensive Peloton was apparently a marvellous place to hang his washing to dry. Admittedly his wife managed to complete a half marathon thanks to having it there and available. Rather her than me.

The very best of luck!

Lots of great advice and encouragement on here. I've just completed c25k for the 2nd time. I found it tricky sometimes to find a balance of knowing you've done it before so you can do it again, but also remembering to be patient, take it slowly and build back up gradually. Getting started is half the battle!

If you have done it once, you can do it again! I just graduated for the second time. Last one was 9 years ago, and I had not run at all for over two years due to cancer treatment - so talk about poor fitness. On a threadmill, start by testing what your comfortable pace is and then turn it down a bit from that. You can always go a bit faster if you feel like it later. I am super slow myself, and although it is a bit frustrating, I’d rather go slow than give up. Best of luck - you know you can do it!!
