Last Friday was the day ~ wk9 r3 ~ I wanted to run somewhere more enjoyable than just pounding the pavements to mark reaching the end of the programme. So I headed to Glasgow Green and ran along the Clyde Walkway. I'd forgotten how amazing it is, to be in the heart of the city but to feel somewhere else entirely. The minutes whizzed past, and before I knew it, I'd done it! 30 mins - programme complete!!! Woop Woop!!!Family life has been extra busy ever since so didn't get a chance to post on here, or really properly reflect on the milestone I'd reached. I know I want to keep going, but already a week had gone by without any further runs.

So today, back in the south and making the most of the last on my annual leave, I headed to Windsor Great Park. I knew that my 30 min runs were still a way off completing 5k but I decided just to run and see what happens. And I only went and ran 5k!! WOOP WOOP!!! It took me 37 mins but I am very chuffed with that and it has really inspired me to keep going.

So... 3 runs a week. Every week. No excuses!

And at least one of those, likely weekend run, should be somewhere lovely, along the river, among the trees, just somewhere that makes me feel as fabulous as today 🍁🌳❄️

Altho a few degrees warmer wouldn't go amiss 😉

whoop whooop indeed red_faced_runner …what an excellent achievement right there!!! 37 mins is a very decent time…& who’s rushing anyway??? You did it at YOUR pace making sure YOU were comfortable running at that pace and look what happened!!! Fantastic!!! A change of scenery certainly worked for you…very well done.

Don’t forget to go get your graduate badge in the new post MissUnderstanding has put up today 👏

Fantastic achievement and it’s really good you found somewhere different to mark the occasion. I did a run under the Severn bridges here down south with my son for my graduate run. Keep it up 💪🏻 and enjoy the cold weather before it switches and becomes too hot 🥵😂

Thank you! Trying to make up for the after work, midweek runs that due to being dark mean sticking to the main roads around home, are definitely not beautiful 😆
