Wow finally did it, after taking a weeks break because of a bad back today I was signed up to run a 5k Christmas Challenge I wasn't really sure if my back would allow me to do it but plan A) was to run the whole thing not worrying about time plan B) was to run for 30 mins to complete C25k then run/walk what ever distance was left of the 5k
Well the short story is I did it all I ran for 30 mins felt ok but stopped just long enough to stretch my calf sip my water and then ran on to complete 5k I am over the moon.
I ran for the first time in my adult life 5 months ago tomorrow, I could just about manage 30 seconds, but thanks to my sons training and this programme I am now so much fitter and happier than I have been In many years.....and now looking forward to many more happy years running.
I would also like to say a huge thank you for the amazing support on this forum which sadly I didn't find until I was on week 6
