Good morning all. Just joined. I'm on week 4 run of C25K doing OK for a nearly 61 year old. The last time I did any running must have been in the early 80's. So due to some minor health issues, high cholesterol and increasing blood pressure, I decided to get fit. I have to say I am loving it, really enjoy getting out and running. Looking forward to reading all your stories, trials and tribulations. π

Hello and welcome.. Well done you for joing us. Many slightly more seasoned running friends here. Please do check out the pinned post for How to Run C25K...if you haven't done so, already.
Great advice, tips and links there!
Slow and steady is my mantra..I started this at 65..still here at 73!
Keep posting for terrific support and enjoy!
Catch up Corner is great place to visit too and of course, the Strength and Flex Forum..where there are many ideas to keep that running body fit and, hopefully injury free.
CBDB and I will be only too pleased to welcome you there too!
Looking forward to your posts!

Good for you! ππ
I started the programme in winter too which seemed a bit daft at the time but Iβm glad I did. Getting used to cold conditions from the off gets you quickly acclimatised π₯Άπ
Go steady, slow but sure is best, and enjoy yourself. Itβs fun ππ

Hello and welcome. I was a late convert to running too. I started aged 58 and have now just turned 62. I graduated from C25K by doing a parkrun (I am now a regular volunteer at my nearest parkrun). If you have a nearby parkrun, I would really recommend using that as a motivation for Saturday mornings - you may then find you start stretching towards new targets (I moved up to 10k and then half-marathons). OK, I have had to overcome some injuries along the way, but I think C25K really opens your eyes to how quickly you can improve if you stick it. Good luckπ
