just to let everyone know I got to Week 8 and the 28 minute runs and struggled. Failed the first time I got out and ran but did not manage the 28 mins without walking. I did two runs after and succeeded but just not customed to not completing a run. So after thinking about it I managed to get a group together of previous runners that had lapsed and we started again from the beginning and I have now got them up to the end of week 6 now running for 25 minutes. Whilst they did week 6 I have finally got three successive 30 minutes completed. Yes I know probably shouldn’t of gone from Week 6 to Week 9 but as a relatively regular runner I have and I am happy now to have completed it again. The first 30 min run was around 3.8k, second was about 4.17 and tonight’s was nearly 4.6k each run going up about 0.5k at a time heading for my 5Ks again. Hopefully you are all keeping well and maintaining your fitness.

Nice to hear from you again Papillion17, as you are already a graduate there is no harm on going from week 6 to 9 and well done on running for 30 minutes, you will soon get quicker regarding that 5K which you hope to run shortly✔️🏃‍♂️

You are on your way back! It seems to me we get in a great form then something happens and scuppers our activity and we have to start again. This has happened to me several times this year but hoping to feel better soon and get back out there 🤞🏼

Good luck Wavy-chick28 I have been running nearly 5 years now and this years injury was the biggest and only injury I have had in that time. It has been a long hard slog to get back running 30 minutes and I am hopeful I wil achieve the times I was achieving before.

Many thanks RollingPea taking the approach I took has made me enjoy running again after the injury I did wonder if I would get back running again but I am slow and steadily getting there.
