🍏Trails, trials & sunshine

After a celebratory long weekend at Gull Lake which included Turkey dinner, pavlova & lovely trails in beautiful sunshine, my last two runs back in Calgary have been in rain.

I was however delighted to find Trail Run with Sally on the NRC App. Her chit chat was so informative & inspiring & I learned much in spite of getting fairly wet today. An enjoyable diversion from the weather!

Good run in the rain Annie, glad you are still enjoying your holiday in Canada in cooler conditions, are you staying in Canada for a few more weeks or coming home soon?

That's very good that you are in Canada until the end of November, by then it could get very cold with the first frost and snow of the winter.

🍏 I love running on fresh soft snow ⛄️ but we want to be gone before the very low temperatures. We were here before in -30! Glad to have experienced it but not anymore now we are older. We are going up into the Rocky Mountains towards the end of our trip & will be going to the natural outdoor hot springs. More about that later. 😊

🍏Thanks Hettie. It is a beautiful country. We love the Autumn 🍂 & early winter. The countryside scenery changes so fast. Trail running in the Autumn and then running on the soft snow ⛄️ is a fab experience I can manage up to -6 then it gets too cold for me. I don’t like ice because of the risk of falling!

🍏😊I certainly hope you do. There is a spectacular train ride that is one of the best in the world for dramatic changing scenery!
