Hello fellow Couchers. A question if I may. Yesterday, it was just too wet to go out so I decided to try my first treadmill run at the local gym. Iโm up to W8 R3 (again ๐) and I did the full 28 minutes. So far, all good. The thing is, I got bored because there was nothing to see. I was plugged into a good podcast, but I had nothing to do in terms of dodging pedestrians or cursing an upcoming hill. How do others manage?
Another question (sorry!) : Hello fellow... - Couch to 5K
Another question (sorry!)
As I don't have a gym membership I'd take a day off then go tomorrow and do my dodging and cursing as usual
If its' not too cold and you run somewhere that does not become too slippery or dangerous when wet I would go out in the rain and run anyway-if you enjoy dodging pedestrians you'll love dodging ( or splashing straight through) puddles and if you like cursing hills you'll love cursing cars that splash you as they go through puddles even more!
I started C25k in winter when some days I had to wait til later in the morning for the trail to de-ice. I bought inexpensive cold wet weather gear so I wouldnโt freeze ๐ฅถ
Being cold and wet is bad news though so you can just wait it out or do something else in the gym as cross training
I quickly acclimatised to cold weather though which surprised me greatly ๐
Do you mean how do we manage using a treadmill or how we manage when the weather is too bad to run outside?
