Well, that's another one ticked off - Week 6, Run 2

Pilates, stretching, school run, quick shop, then C25K Week 6, Run 2. Not really feeling it. Two x 10 minutes. Pretty fed up after 5 minutes, but Denise Lewis tells me I'm "already" half way. Cheers for that! Second part of the run was fine.

I'm running in the country park where I did the second half of C25K first time - plus much of my post graduation running. I wandered around part of a lake for my 3 minute walk. Did the second 10 minute run. The runs aren't anything like as hard this time, so I've clearly maintained much of the residual fitness. I'm struggling with maintaining the 🐌 as my natural 🏎️ will out. 😇

Not getting happy vibes from Denise Lewis, so I think it's back to lovely Laura for me next time. ❤️

No issues with the running, or with the full gamut of warm-down stretches, but a couple of hours later the question of whether or not I should do run 3 on Thursday is answered: I feel knackered now and I have a play that night in London, so will save my "spoons" for the show and see how I feel on Friday, after London & back.

Am hoping the energy deficiency is me getting over last week's Long Covid dip, rather than anything else - especially as we are looking after my eldest and his young lady, who both have tonsillitis... 😬

Well, it does sound like you have a lot on! Perhaps it’s sensible to plan for your next run on Friday. Good running, though - especially as you weren’t feeling it! 👍

Thank you! Sometimes just one foot in front of the other is the way to go!

Phew a lot on your plate right now plus recovery from long covid! No wonder you not quite feeling it! Take an extra rest day if you need it. As you know it won’t affect your fitness and may give you some extra zing to enjoy it next time round! Well done for getting the run done ✅ in spite of everything!
