Hello fellow runners2nd parkrun yesterday, got a new pb below 40 minutes 39:43, with a position of 364/393 feeling pretty good but totally shattered today, looking forward to the next one, πŸ˜„ . Parkruns are so friendly, at both runs I've done so far a stranger named Paul, who had already finished came back to help me on for the last Kilometre, totally recommend parkruns for everyone.

Next week will change course for something a bit different, will go to Worcester woods parkrun.

Happy running and keep winning at life πŸ˜€

Congratulations Petem! There's a park run almost outside my front door every Saturday but although I've done the QR code thing, I still haven't quite got the courage to turn up yet. Your time is most impressive btw....I think I would still be completing it on Sunday morning......

Don't put yourself down, you could also walk it, some do😁

OK I'll give it a go this Saturday then!

Good luck, just remember to take it as slow as possible, don't let the crowd pull you along too fast (easily done) . Be the tortoise 🐒 and enjoy it, let us know how you get on πŸ˜€

Well done, a park run is my aim after finishing C25K. Sub 40 is awesome.

Thanks, just get yourself registered with them, and pin your barcode on the fridge as a reminder.😜

Superb Pete, it's a while since I've managed a parkrun, but yes they are very friendly - Aylesbury was my first, and I'll never forget it.

I've been taking part in my local parkrun since Dec 22 and I love it. The people are so supportive and encouraging. Best thing for my fitness that I've done in ages

Hi Koala, I've only just started with parkruns, I waited until I could manage the 5K comfortably, and got used to my sports leg 🦿. I'm a left below knee amputee, so I have my own separate set of challenges, it took me about 18 weeks to complete C25K, and now I'm aiming for the Brighton 10 km in April.πŸ˜πŸ˜€
