Some of you may know I have had recent pain that means I've paused my journey for now; this video from YouTube I find very good:

Thanks you... I am sure folk will find this useful!
Ziggy - One 'for your back pocket' as my old boss used to say: I struggled with my Achilles injury for 3 years and spent a fortune on physio during that time. I finally got it fixed by going to a sports therapist who performed deep tissue massage (ouchy!) on the whole chain (Plantar tendon, ankle attachments, Achilles, calf, hamstrings). It took about 10 weeks - I'd had it for 3 years remember - but his treatment really worked and I remain grateful that he got me running again when I thought that, in my mid-60s, it was probably all over.

Thankyou for sharing Pugwash π... that's encouraging πππ ... are you still running? Hope so?!π€
Sorry for the very late reply - I've only just seen your message (I'm a bit of a dipper-in here). Yes, I'm happy to say that I'm still running and, now that I'm MUCH more fastidious about pre and post stretching, no further Achilles issues. I don't run far currently (max 6km) and Parkrun is my 'big event' of the week. I do also regularly hill walk (I live on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales) and ride my bike - a new and developing passion and that all seems to keep my creaky joints oiledπ.
Have you been able to resume running yourself yet? Hope so!!
