"Tra la la la la la la la
Somewhere the weather's fine
Long ago, one fine day
Some philosopher was heard to say
'There's a sunny side to ev'ry situation'"
I captioned 42nd Street last night and after a somewhat trying day, these lyrics were a gentle reminder that there's hope for us out there ... somewhere! 🌞🌻
Dental issues, resulting insomnia issues, maybe a bout of long Covid fatigue ... all conspiring to drag me down. I managed two lots of exercises, but delayed my running so I'd have energy in the tank for last night's show.
This morning: 20 minutes pilates, some warm ups, then off out for Week 5, Run 1 with Steve Cram. He was a lovely, warm presence. I ran without music this time. The run was, as I've said elsewhere, easy peasy. There was a strong temptation to run further and at one point I did find myself accidentally running faster than my Japanese 🐌 pace. But I caught myself in time, reminded myself why I'm redoing C25K, and why I need to be kind to my muscles, hamstrings and back.
I need to work on a certain Scottish play today, as well as pay a visit to the dentist ...
So mediation may be on the cards! And my second batch of exercises this evening will probably be my physio-assigned back & hamstring routine.
Happy running, stretching & exercising - hope the sun shines in your heart today! ❤️
