Completed week one. Going to repeat though before moving on to next set of runs. Has anyone done this?

I am working through an anxiety module and I decided to take up this app and even though I found the first run hard, I felt more self conscious than anything as I've never done it before. The 2nd run I did on a country walk route which was much better. I've done the third run but I am wondering if many people repeat all the first week again? I am enjoying it.

🍏Welcome to the forum 🤗What a wonderful choice you have made, to cope with anxiety! So well done to get through week 1 and enjoy it too!! I have sent you a link to read with helpful hints as to how to run the program. Many folk repeat weeks or individual runs if they can’t complete them or feel it will make them stronger. However each run prepares you for the next run, & each week for the next week as long as you complete them. Keep posting and letting us know how you are doing!

Thank you so much. I have just come back from repeated week one first run. It felt great. Thanks for the link I will definitely read it.

The first minute of the first run on week one I thought I was going to die 🤣But, I just kept plugging away, I didn't repeat any weeks and just trusted the process. That worked for me, but everyone's different. Just stick at it and do what works for you...you'll get there!!!

Hello! I’m a newbie too and have only done week one, we were supposed to start week two this week, but my running partner has a bad back so we’re not running this week. I’m definitely going to suggest repeating at least one of the wk1 runs before increasing the time. Glad you were able to progress to wk2.

Good luck on your journey too. I guess sometimes things occur which can't be helped. I hope your running partner gets well soon too.

Hi! I am just starting week 2. Am doing "slow running" or slow jogging . It has helped me. I really enjoyed the run today. Good luck with yours.

I was very self conscious for the first few weeks, and wore kit that wasn't really suited to running at all.

Thank you. Yes I wore a light gilet as it had a pocket for my phone. Not suitable at all.

Hi Runberryred , it's not uncommon for people to repeat runs and/or weeks of C25K, and if you find that doing so lessens any anxiety, why not?

However, as Annieapple says, every completed run and week of the C25K programme prepares you for the next one. Do remember that, have confidence in the programme, and believe in your own abilities.

Happy running!
