I've just done my first run. I am quite overweight & started working out 2 weeks ago. I'm pleasantly surprised I could complete the run without a break. I look forward to more.... I've been reading content from this community & I am so inspired.

Welcome. Great job... that run nearly killed me, 8 times 😂 and I’m now in week 7... so you got a head start on me there! Enjoy the rest of the week.

Great job! I don't think being overweight is always a good indication of your fitness anyway. I weigh more than I did 10 years ago probably by about 2-3 stone but definitely feel a lot fitter than I was back then. I smoked, (quit 8 years ago), ate rubbish food (now still eat a fair bit, but it's mostly good stuff), I work from home now so try my hardest to keep 10,000 steps daily (having a dog has defo made that easier!) Hope I can lose a few lbs now Im back running again, but regarding it as a nice side effect right now rather than a target I think.
I used to play football a lot, running never interested me without something to chase I guess, but that changed when I first started running a couple of years ago Keep it up and keep enjoying it!
Good work Pearla97 stepping out the door for the first time is a tough hurdle to get over you’ve done it ✅ Enjoy your exciting new running journey!
Thank you, 1 will.
