Had a lovely Power Walk this morning with dh. Sun was out and it was 'easy-like Sunday morning!' ... We did our Route 3 twice by turning around at the end and going again in the opposite direction. No 10-second snail run boosts today - just large strides of fast walking and arm swinging, deep, comfortable breathing and talking
So the plan is only 2 more walks before it all kicks off with the 'real thing'! All being well that will be in the next week!
One slight concern is that I have become conscious of my knees: very slight twisting discomfort. I am quite tall and have quite long legs and often squeeze in places without enough sitting leg room (back of cars, sofa/coffee table space. Any suggestions for nipping this in the bud, lovely peeps?!

Ooo knees.... The bane of our lives, and so many things that can cause us challenges in the knee department. Firstly, I'm sure you have good supportive shoes and insoles specifically for sports wear can help.
There will be loads of advice I'm sure about knees, strengthening exercises, gait analysis and taking extra rest days, if the discomfort gains in intensity though, a trip to the GP or a sports physio are probably the best places.
When you start running take it slow, this isn't a race, give yourself time to recover and hope it doesn't get any more than it is .
Just seen your post CBDB ... thankyou 😘 ... was aware of 'toothache' in L knee last night while sleeping ... couldn't get comfy ... lots of reading of pinned posts for me today I think ... 🤔
