I woke up this Monday morning feeling very much the creaky old lady. I'd happily have stayed in bed but when a run was suggested all my excuses sounded a bit thin so off I went.
I've bought some new knee supports, two rather than just the one. My normally bad knee, which has been behaving lately, started to complain the other day and my newly bad hip likes the support. They are rather snazzy, they apparently have copper in them. The tops are elasticated and the way they feel reminds me of the hold up stockings I used to wear in my 20s (obviously the knee supports are no way as sexy as the stockings but then again I'm 40+ years older too 😂).
As soon as they I put them on the discomfort eased and off I went, feeling like a different and much livelier woman.
It was the same route as I've already done twice since I've been home but it's lovely and we're off again tomorrow so no question of getting bored. After my very hot Parkrun on Saturday which I mostly walked I made sure to take it easy.
Once I was home I finally got round to ringing the doctor and making an appointment to get everything checked out once I'm back from my travels. It's been going on a couple of months and, while I'm hoping the issues will sort themselves out by mid August, if they haven't I'll need some proper medical advice. I was sort of glad I couldn't get an appointment today, the doctor might have told me to stop running!
