So I was not intending to post every one of the re runs but as I'm sat here with a mug of tea well why not ๐To be honest I was intending to go a little earlier but somehow ended up in a bubble bath ๐คฃ
My calves were aching a little from yesterday's 12657 steps walking !
So a nice relaxing bath before my run seemed a reasonable idea !
I'd had a strange night's sleep really.
7 hours according to Garmin with wait for it ........ A 1 and a half hour tea break in the middle!!! ๐
I never sleep all the way through !
Anyway it had warmed up a bit by the time I went out but let's see how it goes .
6x1.5 min jogs with 2 minute walk breaks, should be ok !
I remembered a trick I used the first time through the program!
On week 2 I told myself there are only 6 runs to do , and last week there was 8 !
So shouldn't be a problem (I just ignore the fact they are longer) works for me !
First couple of runs nice and easy then after the 3rd I could tell myself I was halfway through.
It's amazing how these little tricks can help .
So, thankfully no issues and another re run ticked off .
Back home, stretches done, contemplating lunch ๐
Picture from yesterday's walk .
Happy running!

I saw a squirrel this morning and that was it! No deer when I turn left at the end of the road, rather than right. No kite this morning. And positively no cows in the middle of town ...
Please do post your runs! I enjoy reading about them! I went out a walk at 8 this morning and it was very warm but a pleasant walk. I saw lots of wee bunnies and lots of wee tweety birds too.
I made a big batch of tandoori chicken thighs in air fryer yesterday so thatโs my feeding sorted for the week. Going to have chicken salad wraps for dinner and Iโve made a coriander mint yoghurt sauce side too. Itโs very yummy!
Yes indeed, please do post your runs. Your story will help a great deal of people and you include such lovely photos! Like ToothPickJafah and so many others, I am cheering you on, and look out for your progress reports. ๐
i really enjoy reading about peoplesโ runs too. Iโve never been a team player really, but with this I enjoy being part of a group with a common purpose in which everyone supports , helps and cheers on everyone else.
It encourages me to get up and get running , however slow I am
Well done on those 12,657 steps yesterday for your walk Ian, that's about 8K!! and congratulations on completing run 1 of week 2, onwards and upwards to run 2 in a couple of days โ ๐โโ๏ธ๐
I did week 2 run 1 yesterday. I bought a running waistband with pockets for my phone and keys a few years ago when I was running regularly. My current phone is bigger and it's a squeeze to get it zipped in. Sometimes that stops the podcast and it's a faff to restart it. Yesterday on my run I got a message notification so I wanted to check it wasn't important.
Unfortunately that reset the podcast to the beginning so I then had to guess how far in it I was in order to scroll ahead. I ended up doing 7 runs instead of 6, but it was such a beautiful, quiet morning that that didn't matter at all! Looking forward to the next one tomorrow.
Thank you for that postโฆ so nice to readโฆ I definitely need little tricks like that too.., I have only done two runs on week 1 so I have a long way to go but I like your style! Love the pic too!
Itโs good to hear your progress so post away! ๐
You know what Coach Bennett saysโฆ. โDonโt focus on how many intervals there are or how many to go, focus on the one you are on. Just tell yourself - one more!โ Iโm not sure that washes with me ๐
Yes! Another one under your running belt. Keep the reports coming - it helps the likes of me plodding along no end knowing we are not alone ๐๐๐
