I woke early today, around 4:30, not sure why but I couldn't get back to sleep not matter what I did, so I got up.
I headed downstairs around 7 and threw on the running gear, asked Alexa to turn on the treadmill and then set about starting the app, Spotify, etc.
28 minutes of joffling, letting my mind wander while plodding along, breathing deeply to control my HR.
I noticed after I'd finished the run my HR stayed in Garmin's zone 4 for 48% of the entire session, only going into zone 5 for 21%, contrast this to Week 7 Run 3 and that was 35% zone 4 and 37% zone 5; I'll monitor it on the other runs.
Now I'm down to 5 runs remaining in the program, I had initially planned on having finished it by now but I'm more than happy with the way things are going, etc, I'm still able to do multiple different things at the same time, eg C25K, gym, 3d printing, etc, all without focusing on one thing only.
I have a plan for adapting to outdoor running too, I'll start that once I've graduated, nothing strenuous really, I'm going to use Week 5 and then work up from 20 minutes to 25 and then to 30.
My goal to finish C25K and get back running is in sight, my next goal is this:
I bought Mrs LeeU tickets to the British F1 at Silverstone for her birthday, last time we went (just after lockdown) I was too fat to get a team coat.
I struggled to walk from the car park to the seats too as the weight caused me to suffer from really bad back pain but that's history.
The goal is to shift more weight and get into one of those coats and I WILL get one.
