My Wk 1 R2 run was interspersed with so many yawns! But then I remembered I yawn if I ever go for a walk with steep inclines and yawn when I climb the hospital stairs at work.
I do not have any real medical problems so do not understand? My iron levels are not super high but not on their knees either.
Any ideas welcome 🤗
Thank you.

I yawn a lot in the first 10 - 15 mins and then it kind of stops, I never really worried about it, maybe my lungs just want the extra oxygen while my body ramps up its needs to meet demand?
Thank you! This is helpful - I never like using Dr Google as I am worried I will find something more to worry about but this is fine - basically do not worry!
Don't yawn too much in the next few weeks or months while walking or running because at this time of the year there are a lot of little flies around, in fact thousands, you could swallow them when outside, perhaps by getting more sleep could prevent you from yawning so much.
I ran into a mass of bugs yesterday by the river. They stuck to my face as I was sweating Yuk. 😁. You can get a Buff for the purpose Popular I dare say during midge season in Scotland These we’re the first ones I’ve met this year
I had a horrid migraine once at an outdoor concert. It started in the foyer and got worse 😱. A lady came to speak to me. She noticed I was yawning a lot and looked unwell. She was a nurse and said that yawning was a common side effect. So I wonder if it happens when the body is under stress. Sign we need to go and lie down perhaps 🙂🤔
Interesting... some research has shown/suggested, that one of the reasons why people yawn during a workout is due to a spike in the core temperature of the body. Inhaling a large amount of cool air helps lower your core and brain temperature. It is a kind of perspiration, which prevents loss of water from the body in the form of sweat. Apparently helping promote blood oxygenation ?
