Welcome Uris! Are you doing couch to 5k or have other running ambitions in your life at the moment? We love to chat about all things running here because it’s brought so many great things into our lives, even when we’re on the injury couch!
Sounds like we're in the same boat looking forward to the challenge of C25K
Thanks for the feedback! It’s nice to know that others are in the same boat. Do you have a fitness buddy to stay motivated? All we can do is try our best! Good Luck👍
See my reply above
Afternoon Oldfloss, I've just done my 1st one also just put a post up about it, just read it back sounds a bit t**ty and I bit aren't i great in M/O. But I've sat on the sofa for 20/30 mins less than I usually would! So I am taking that as a win! Look forward to hearing your progress whenever you choose 😜

Welcome... as you are I feel, going to join the programme...
healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Check out this essential information....
There is no necessity at all, to run 5K in 30 minutes... just to reach Graduation being able to run for 30 minutes!
Take it slow, take it steady, keep posting and you will find so much support here.. There so many folk here just beginning... that you can post and share your experiences with them.. do read some of the posts and maybe pop into Catch Up Corner too... lots of experiences shared there!

On you go!
Thanks for the information. I am definitely not planning any running in the immediate foreseeable future. First is gradually building up my stamina for walking while aggressively trying to lose 40-80 pounds of unnecessary me. At that point I can revisit the running component. Goal of 2 pounds a week could result in revisiting running by September? But again thanks for the information. I will look at it again in September.

Baby steps lead to bigger steps leads to going for longer walks then faster walks, then one day you will start Week 1 Run 1 and it will change your life
Definitely baby steps! That’s usually my mantra however yesterday it was “if a beaver can climb that slope, then so can I”. My son then said to me that one day I will be able to say “if a chipmunk can climb that hill then so can I”. Baby steps, definitely! Thanks for the encouragement
