Right, after many attempts at restarting at week 6 and repeatedly going off the boil, I have decided to go right back to square one and start from the very beginning (a very good place to start π).
Please may I ask you all to keep me accountable? I can do it, it's just a question of getting my mojo working again!

It will be very easy for me, as I walk miles up hill and down dale every day, I'm just hoping the fresh start will give me the bit of discipline that I'm sadly lacking right now π I am very disappointed with myself, truth be told π
Please don't be disappointed with yourself. You are clearly very active and have a positive attitude and approach to keeping healthy. You will smash it. Good luck.
well done Over60sRunner I will probably be back at the beginning when I am allowed to start running again. Currently now at 8.5 weeks since I tore the join between the two calf muscles. Hopeful that soon I will be given approval to start again. Good luck you can do this.
SadlyI'm not running - yet again! I've been diagnosed with labile hypertension, so no running for now until the doctor can get it settled down. I'm seeing the GP again on Friday to see how the antihypertensives are working and have a resting ECG. Depending on results, I may or may not be referred to cardiology. Never rains but it pours, but I'm trying to stay positive π
