OK, I'm starting from the beginning!

Right, after many attempts at restarting at week 6 and repeatedly going off the boil, I have decided to go right back to square one and start from the very beginning (a very good place to start πŸ˜‰).

Please may I ask you all to keep me accountable? I can do it, it's just a question of getting my mojo working again!

I'm a restarter too, currently on week 4 - run 3 coming up tomorrow, you can do this. When are you starting again?

Tomorrow morning. Week 1, Run 1.

It will be very easy for me, as I walk miles up hill and down dale every day, I'm just hoping the fresh start will give me the bit of discipline that I'm sadly lacking right now πŸ™„ I am very disappointed with myself, truth be told πŸ˜”

you haven't lost anything, the runs are still there, just delayed a bit.

the structure of the programme is helpful, we'll keep each other accountable

Please don't be disappointed with yourself. You are clearly very active and have a positive attitude and approach to keeping healthy. You will smash it. Good luck.

I think you are right to start from scratch again! I have run on and off for 5yrs.

I have started from scratch again due to 3months off due to an injury !

Week 3, Run 1 and apart from a bit of mild knee pain all seems OK :-)

Sadly not. I've been diagnosed with labile hypertension, so no running for now until the doctor can get it settled down πŸ™„

I imagine that's frustrating. I hope you're feeling okay about it and it settles down soon.

Thank you. I'm seeing the GP again on Friday and then wait to see cardiology at the hospital. Hopefully I can stop walking on eggs soon! πŸ™„

well done Over60sRunner I will probably be back at the beginning when I am allowed to start running again. Currently now at 8.5 weeks since I tore the join between the two calf muscles. Hopeful that soon I will be given approval to start again. Good luck you can do this.

SadlyI'm not running - yet again! I've been diagnosed with labile hypertension, so no running for now until the doctor can get it settled down. I'm seeing the GP again on Friday to see how the antihypertensives are working and have a resting ECG. Depending on results, I may or may not be referred to cardiology. Never rains but it pours, but I'm trying to stay positive πŸ‘
