Since my post of a couple of months ago when I was getting out for a run three times a week but not going beyond around 3.6k in 30 mins, I've upped my time to 35 mins and managed to get over the 4k mark. Then this morning because of a technical glitch (Laura's week 9 podcast which I've continued happily plodding along to 😉 suddenly cut off after the warm up walk and set off the Stepping Stone podcast I'd downloaded but never used so I decided to start running instead of doing another walk) I ended up doing 40 mins of running and a personal best of 4.5k!!! Still on a high and can't believe it! Next goal: 5k...
Update: Since my post of a couple of months ago... - Couch to 5K
Update
You'll be doing parkruns next! 🤣
Very well done to you, my best in 30 minutes is 3.65KM soon will be working up to 5K😀
This is great-you’ve done so we’ll post graduation! Have you looked at the Nike Run Club app? That’s what I moved on to after c25k. They’ve got loads of nice guided runs. It’s a bit marmite (cheesy at times!!) but free so nothing lost if it’s not for you!
That 5k will be yours before you know it!
Thanks MissUnderstanding! The Nike Run Club app was mentioned when I wrote my previous post, but being based in Italy I can't access it unfortunately. Pity, as I like to have the routine of a guided run.
I don't use Nike Run Club Lumaca0112 but it looks like there might now be an Italian version available - nike.com/it/nrc-app
The French version was updated recently to include more runs. Unfortunately they didn't update my reaction to them!
Thanks so much for the link Cmoi! I'll have a look to see if I can access this but I suspect all the guided runs will be in Italian. I don't have a problem with that but would prefer to follow an English version. If there's a way of changing the language, that would be perfect. Will definitely check it out
well done - sometimes the 5k goal can just creep up on us when we’re not expecting it. You’ll get there soon 🏁
Well done Lumaca0112 onwards and upwards👍🏃🏃♂️🏃♀️
Thanks for the encouraging words, OldManRunning! Happy running!
