first run post covid

This morning I went for my first run after having covid again then a chest infection. If I’m honest I was dreading it as haven’t run for a month. Set my watch for 20 mins and thought if I do less it’s no big deal to try to incentivise myself.

Well, I only went and did it! Am now coughing like my dad who has COPD but I actually did it. Am so chuffed. Onwards and upwards again. The beautiful weather today really helped as well as seeing all the buds on trees. Spring is nearly here.

Absolutely fantastic. That comeback run is often such a hard one, mentally. Now you’re a runner who ran today instead of a month ago and that will help immensely when you come to do your next one. So glad it went well. ❤️

Glad to hear your first run back was not as bad as anticipated! I'm on the verge of doing the same after having had COVID for the first time over the last few weeks - think I will try at the weekend as still a bit coughy at the moment! Thanks for the inspiration in your post - it will help me get out the door 🙂
