1st post covid run 😁

Hi everyone, today was my 1st run after 4 months off after having covid at the beginning of Dec. It has triggered my asthma after 20 yrs free of it. So after a couple of months getting my breath back with inhalers to help, I got back out today. R1 wk 1 , it was easier than I expected, but I don’t want to over do it too quickly. As much as I thought I still hated running, I was so wrong, I have missed it so much and can’t tell you how good I felt whilst out running and after. Please anyone thinking of getting out there, just do it, it’s amazing. Can’t wait for R2 . Happy running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ 😁😁😁😁

Well done ..πŸŒˆπŸŽ‰ I haven't had Covid but had a bad flu a few years ago and it left me with a weak set of lungs for a while.. on inhalers for months but it did eventually get better..

I did week one run one yesterday too πŸ‘Œ....

Yeah absolutely.. but I will definitely need to do it step by step.. just celebrated my 50th and never been a runner only walking and yoga.. so a complete newbie πŸ™ˆ.. dont let me hold you back 😊

Bless you, I am 54 , not a good runner, only started in lock down last year, didn’t realise how I’d come to like it until I couldn’t do it. I look forward to having a running buddy. 😁

Thanks for the words of wisdom, it’s tempting to jump a run or two but think I will take it steady. It’s good to have a virtual running buddy to keep the motivation going too. I look forward to C25K take 2.... oh yes and a party πŸŽ‰

Slow and steady really does work..I was tempted yesterday to push a bit harder..so I deliberately pulled back and just eased off..looked around took everything in. Xx
