I have just completed week7 of C25K and still find the first 5-10 minutes of my run the most difficult, do other people find this?

Welcome to the forum. It’s absolutely normal to find the first ten minutes of the run the most difficult. It’s called the “toxic ten”. Your body is adjusting to the fact you’re running. Keep it steady and run patiently expecting that it will pass and you’ll soon fall into a rhythm. Knowing about it really helped me not to write off a run too early.

You must be doing really well to have got to week 7. It’s probably worth having a skim through the program guide linked below for some hints and tips you might not have thought about. Good luck with your next run! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Yes!Once I am past the first 10 minutes I start to relax a little and get into a rhythm.I did my 1st run yesterday since maybe early November due to injury. The 1st 10 minutes I thought oh no,I’m not going to be able to do this. After that I was grand and completed my run…Well done you completing week 7,your nearly there.Good luck with your next couple of weeks running and completing the C25K…
