Been quiet on here lately but pleased to say I finished it today and also did a 5k parkrun in 39.46, am pleased as the weather was horrid

Well done on your parkrun. I’m going to give you the same advice that we give every newbie runner which is that it’s best to stick at 30 minutes to consolidate what you’ve achieved for a little while, and when you’re still doing the programme it’s best to stick to the timings as set out. This is to reduce your risk of injury. All of us understand the temptation to get carried away though! It’s really worth reading the guide to post c25k running linked below, and you can request your all important graduate badge here… 🏅

Well done to you. I did the same and finished on a Parkrun and now have completed my 11th Parkrun only missing 2 since I did my first. I try to do 3 runs a week but always the Parkrun as that has become my Saturday morning thing. I now use Nike running club guided runs as I had done the 0-5k week 9run 3 too many times and knew it word for word!
