Not feeling 100%
Take a rest day! Honestly, the runs will wait. If you’re feeling under the weather, be nice to yourself and have some more recovery time.
If you wake up feeling energised after a good night’s sleep, perhaps give it a go but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with postponing a run if you’d be better resting. That what smart runners do!
No, don't push yourself in that way Elephantlady ! If you feel better, by all means run. Don't run if you don't.
There's a difference between "I'm OK, I just don't feel much like running" in which case run, and "I don't feel well, I'll have to push myself to run" in which case, rest.
I think the guidance is, symtoms above the neck- OK to run. Symptoms below the neck, take a break.
If you're feeling drained, don't push yourself.
I had my flu jab on Friday at lunchtime. By last night (Saturday) I was feeling its effects with a prickly sore throat and feeling lethargic. Today was declared a rest day before it even began.
Thank you everyone, I’ve rested today and may take a few more rest days as feeling really run down. I’m hoping to be back on my c25k soon though.
