Have a fantastic time! Those catch ups after such a long time are just lovely. Hopefully you’ll get some in person congratulations from your friend too. Enjoy your clean windows!!!
Congratulations, @Flybe! Or is it FlyOwl now? 😉 That's an awesome achievement!
And, yes, this forum is an absolutely crucial part of the C25K program! It's helped me also once I was done with C25K and ended in a bit of a "post graduation slump"...
I think a slump any time you finish anything you’ve been working towards for a while is pretty common-it happened to me after finishing c25k and both of the events I’ve done since. This forum is great for just keeping you going until the mojo comes back (which it always does!). It’s really good to be prepared for it to happen and realise that it’s not unusual-thanks for bringing it up!
Congratulations 🎊 🥳 👏 💐, it's a great achievement!. I can remember the first time I cleaned windows after doing this programme. I whizzed through them, running makes you stronger 💪
Congratulations on completing C25K Flybe , and how wonderful to be joined by an owl. I hope you celebrated your achievement suitably with your friend - happy future running!
Flybe; congratulations !! You are a youngster. You will be amazed at what you can achieve as your strength and stamina build up. I sometimes see a barn owl when I run. They are beautiful creatures, and I did once have that sense of it leading me forward.A good omen.
I found the end of C25k a bit of an anticlimax. So I made some big decisions. The first was to buy the cheapest GPS running watch, the second was to build up to a reliably measured 5k and the third was to focus on increasing distance rather than speed; given that I was 66 at the time this seemed to be more sensible than trying to run very fast!
I found the magic plan on Bridge to 10k, and was soon happily following a structured plan. There was no voice in my ear, but I found that I didn’t need it post C25k. I just kept my eyes open for wild creatures, and my senses alert for any signs of niggles and all of the other stuff which goes with our running. You might make different decisions; what was important for me was to have a direction of travel rather than just running repeat same as same as runs. Enjoy and challenge yourself; you don’t know what you can do yet….🙂
I too am going to be looking for a gps watch for the future runs. I Really don’t want to get bored with where I run but the field tracks are under water at the moment.
May I ask where I find the magic plan please. When I looked on here it seems everybody is doing different 5k to 10k plans.
If you press “my hub” at the top of this page and then press Bridge to 10k you will find the magic plan as a pinned post on that forum if you just scroll down. I hope that makes sense!🙂
