Remember, remember the 5th November - duck sign, coolness and mud!

Today was the day! Chomping at the bit to get out there after a busy week.

I should’ve run my last run of C25K last Sunday. However, after running on the previous Friday I felt some discomfort in my right leg (never had it before) so decided to exercise a bit of ‘patience grasshopper’ and put the run off to recover. I woke up early today and headed out just after 7 - destination: beyond the ‘duck sign’ (which is an actual sign for ducks crossing road - it’s been a marker on my runs for the last few weeks!) I walked towards the towpath on the River Thames and started, slow and steady. Underfoot was leafy and puddly the temperature - cool, just about perfect! Before I knew it I was running past the duck sign just before lovely Laura told me I was half way! I turned and headed for home. This is my second time doing C25K and it was way more enjoyable than the first time. Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement especially Oldfloss 😘 x

well done on your finish, isn’t it great when Laura says you are half way, on my final run I thought I must have missed it because I’d gone further than before and was sure I should’ve turned around

I’ll miss Laura. Might listen to her every now and again just because!

Now the real fun starts for us both - running post C2K - I will keep running for 30 mins and hopefully get a bit faster x

Huge congratulations and such an encouragement to the rest of us to exercise patience with niggly injuries so we can get to the end without injury. Love your 🦆 duck sign!! Enjoy the celebrations 🥳🎶🎈

Thank you. The niggles are always going to come so I was sensible! Looking forward to my next run! X

HUGE congratulations on your re Graduation...!

You have had a rough time, this time round, with all sorts going on, but have done incredibly well!

Your run location was perfect... and I love the Duck sign!

Slow and steady sounds just right... and I loved that series... Kung Fu! Patience is the correct thing when your body tells you to wait!

Celebrate your achievement... you have done it!

PS

No stopping now... time to try to find a gentle runing routine that fits in with your life and suits you !

Well done. Morning runs are the best I reckon. Towpaths are great for out and back run/walk. It really is a different perspective.

Thank you. I love the towpath. It’s so involved with the nature around it. A beautiful place to rub! X
