So yesterday I finally managed to complete week 9 and graduated ! This was my 3rd attempt in 3years but I had a much more positive attitude this time and was determined to finish, feels amazing being able to run 30 whole minutes when that first week seemed so hard . It's not easy and I'm still a sweaty mess after my runs and have lots of mental battles throughout the runs but I'm so proud of my progress and I'm definitely going to keep this up .
What next ? So I've did this whole 9 weeks (though it took 11 due to working around my 12.5 hr day/nightshifts) on my treadmill due to lack of confidence but also because it just fitted in well with my life , I'm thinking of starting again but doing outside runs now that I feel a bit fitter and so that I can build confidence for a park run.
I'm 54 and never really been into running I've always preferred yoga but now I'm going to do both . I feel so much more energetic and mentally positive since I started this journey and actually thinking I might be a bit addicted to running .
The posts on here have inspired me so much ....you are all amazing . Keep it up folks, park run here I come !! 🏃♀️🏃♀️

Congratulations! 👏🏻 Such a great achievement and life changing too. You now have a new goal to run outdoors, what a perfect time of year (too hot and sweaty in summer). Good luck on your journey and look forward to reading new posts on outdoor runs and park runs !
Good post from you 51startingtorun,congratulations on completing run 3 of week 9 and graduating from C25K, well done, you should be very proud of yourself, now go and celebrate your wonderful achievement with 🍷
Congratulations on your graduation! 😀 I too did the whole thing on a treadmill and then did a slow transition to outdoor running gradually breaking the bond with the treadmill. Good luck and well done 👍

Congratulations from a fellow runner who is always a sweaty mess at the end of their runs! It’s not an indication of whether you’re a good runner or not. Some of us are just naturally blessed with the ability to turn bright red!!!
Seriously, it’s great program and you’ve done brilliantly to complete it. Who knows where your runners legs will have taken you by this time next year? Enjoy the moment now though. 🏃♀️ 🏅 👩🎓
Yah!! Congratulations! I graduated on Saturday; isn’t it an amazing feeling?! You’ve done brilliantly to keep coming back - that takes a lot of courage and determination - and you’ve proven to yourself and the world that you can do this. You’re going to have lots of fun running outside, I’m sure. Looking forward to hearing how you get on with parkrun. I’d like to do it, too. I’m not quite there yet either but we’re both on our way! 🥳
well done, a great achievement 😊 I have also started and stopped couch to 5k twice before, your achievement has inspired me to give it another go. I’m 55 and also lack confidence to be seen out running. Keep your running going now, you’ve done brilliantly 😊
