Stormy looking sky over Helensburgh

This is the promenade at Helensburgh where I ran my graduation run in June 2018, I was there this morning, this time only walking, I thought the clouds and the sun shining on the sea was worth taking a photo.

I can't either, I did post a photo but it seems to have disappeared, I just realised that there used to be a bit saying "add photo" that part doesn't seem to be there.

I love that part of the world! Have been to Helensburgh plenty, as I lived for 6-7 years in Dumbarton. Lovely and what a great place to do a graduation run!

I used to go to Helensburgh many times during the 1960's, mainly by train except one time when I cycled there from Glasgow, perhaps the longest bike ride I had done, I was only 15 and was caught in a thunderstorm on the way back.

I only started going back to Helensburgh by train around 15 years ago, then I started C25K in 2018 and thought I would run my graduation run along that promenade in June 2018

Glad you like the photo LottieMW, it looks as if there was going to be a thunderstorm but all that happened was a little light rain.

great photo but looks stormy. I was out a short walk at 6.30, it started light rain but then got soaked

I am happy that you like the photo Doris8, on the photo it looks like there is going to be heavy rain, by the time the rain reached where I was it was only light.

That looks a great place to run Al, hope you enjoyed your walk

It is a great place to run Sue, but most times I go there I only walk, however, I have ran along that promenade twice since I graduated from C25K, a 5K (not ) parkrun and a revised run of week 3 of C25K after a short break from running in the spring of 2019.

It is indeed GTFC, if you ever visit Scotland again, worth a short car journey down the coast to Helensburgh from Glasgow, once again I wish you and Tasha all the very best for Sundays Great North Run. 🏃🏾 👍

Great photo mate. Ye canny beat Bonnie Scotland. Here’s a photo from Crammond Beach in Edinburgh, just finished week 7. Toughest run yet with a strong wind in my face.

Another good photo of stormy seas at Cramond Beach on the Forth at Edinburgh, congratulations on completing week 7 in windy conditions, not long now until you graduate. ✅

They are indeed Birra1, every time I go there it reminds me of that day in June 2018 when I graduated from C25K 🎓.

That's a wonderful photo and a very brooding sky AlMorr

What wonderful memories this place holds for you! I hope you enjoyed your walk there

I always enjoy my walk there Birdlady64, of course it has memories for me, when I was 15 I cycled all the way from Glasgow to Helensburgh and rode my bike a very short distance along that promenade, if someone had told me back then that some day in the future I would run along that promenade for 30 minutes non stop I would have thought that "you are joking, I will never do that", but I did about 50 years later.
