Hi all. I never post in forums just read through them but ive been encouraged by my partner to.
Well started the couch to 5k. I got up yesterday morning at around 6am to the horrible storm we had outside. Wind howling. Rain tipping down.
I thought no..no way il wait for it to calm down. My partner agreed. Then i walked into living room where the two boys were ate a light breakfast and went out and did it regardless.
Still cant believe i did it. Just got to keep at it. Next run tomorrow morning before work. Rain or shine. So glad for the day of rest though my legs and thighs are so heavy today!!!!
Thanks for reading.

Well done on starting. Youโve done the hard bit now so I keep going. I was just like you when I started. My legs were really tired after my first run, but it gets easier and in a few months time you will be amazed by what you can achieve with this programme. When started I weighed 20.5 stone. 4 months on, i finished C25k several weeks ago but I can now run 6.5km and Iโve lost 1.5 stones. I canโt believe what Iโve achieved and if I can do this, you can too!
Hey Waylander85, if you're motivated to go out in that sort of weather, it's in the bag! Even some of us running addicts are looking out the window.....and then doing a nope!๐๐ Well done, keep at it, and yeah, running in the rain is ace, I love it.....๐โโ๏ธ
Well done! My first run was also in horrible weather - came home absolutely soaked! But if we can be motivated enough to run when itโs horrible, it makes it much easier to run when itโs nicer! Keep going
Starting the hardest bit. Just take things nice and slow - your brisk walk can be faster than your run - sip plenty of water on rest days and run days. And if youโre struggling with a run slow down some more! There are plenty of us slow runners here so you wonโt be alone!
