Laced up and decided to brave the storm- howling gales & rain. Its been already two days of rest since completing week7 and I didn't want to put it off for any longer.
I decided to record the 28mins out of curiousity to see how much distance I will cover and at the end of it I had done 4.19km in 28mins. Not sure if it is alright distance or not at this stage of the programme but it was a little above my usual conversational pace. Laura said to try increase the pace if u can, so decided to push a bit and noticed my sentences had become a bit shorter and breathing slightly harder towards the last 5/10 mins.
Any advise regarding that will be greatly appreciated - if I should continue at slightly higher pace or slow it down to what I was comfortable with previously.

That is a good pace Me time, perhaps a little on the fast time of average, sub 35 minute 5K if you kept at that pace, for the last 4 run of C25K before you graduate run a little slower than you did on run 1 of week 8, not long now until you graduate, congratulations on almost completing C25K.
Well done on getting out there and completing your run .But there is no need to increase your pace
Distance and pace is completely irrelevant on this program and your best development will come by running at a conversational pace .
Infact when I was doing C25K, I actually injured myself when I picked it up at the end of week 8 run 1 and had 16 days on the injury couch, 2 visits to an osteopath and one visit to a sports physio .
Yeah she said that for w7 runs when there was 1min left and i was increasing speed for the last mimute without any issues. For week8, she said in the beginning to try increase speed gradually if we can. So i did but found myself a bit out of breath towards the end so slowed down at the last minute.
I will defo keep it my normal conversational pace for my next runs. Thank you for your valuable advice as always.
