Dies anyone else feel that C25K is life-changing? Tomorrow I do W6R2. I have never run before in my life. I'm 60 and overweight but I feel fantastic and the running is having a knock-on effect ... eating more healthily, losing weight, more energy, sleeping well, feeling unstressed ... it's wonderful.

I think that C25k has probably changed more lives for the better than any other health training plan ever.

Millions have become happier and healthier over the last thirty years just by learning to run.

Simple is always the best.........

I did it 4 years ago. Dr wanted me on 4 pills I negotiated 2 and C25k. Now I am on none. Garmin says I have the fitness of a 49yo, I am 58 and in October I am doing the London Marathon. Nah. Not life changing.

Surely it is life changing if you are on no pills? Well done!!

Yes it absolutely is life changing. I’ve been doing it since August 2019 and it keeps me on track both physicaly and mentally. When I keep up the habit of C25K everything else falls in to place. I’m 63 now. Good luck 😊

Ain’t that the truth KathBils ! I totally agree. I remember chatting with a hospital consultant and telling her I’d done C25K and that it was one of the best things I’d ever done. She was so pleased to have met someone who’d done it and that it had changed their life. Happy running! 😊😊😊

Hi Kath me too. I started at age 61. I never thought I could run. Now at 65 I run between 7 and 10k twice a week. Keep going

I also found it life changing. I am nearly 72 never ran in my life till I started this. I did complete it bith times and even went onto 10k once lol

It's my 3rd time starting again owing to illness and various other things , but it shows how I love it if I keep starting again.

Now on W3R2

Keep running keep enjoying x

Definitely life changing! I am over 3 yrs into running and can’t imagine not doing it now 🤗. On the back of this running lark I now weight train and go open water swimming regularly! My life is so much better 😄

Love this post and yes definitely life changing. Did C25K at the start of the year - now running is a regular part of my week, including Park Runs on a Saturday morning which I hugely recommend once you have made it to the end of the programme.

Well done on doing c25k and getting to week 6. It certainly is life changing and makes you feel great! I graduated a couple of weeks ago and I'm still getting out there 3 times a week. Keep up the great work and good luck with the rest of your journey x

It did change my life, for sure. It showed me that at 68 y/o I could do something which I thought, privately, was a ludicrous ambition. I was obese, it was in the middle of a pandemic, I was slithering down a very unpleasant slope. C25K broke that cycle.

I'm not a runner and didn't particularly enjoy running, but I could see how following the course was transforming me. Shortly after graduating I took up squash (very very diffidently at first) but now, 18 months or so later, still hugely enjoying it and now paying for a personal trainer to help me consolidate everything. I've even gone back to jogging along on the treadmill as part of my regular practice. That all started with C25K. Incredible really.

Well done KathBils I am totally with you on that. I did W6R2 today and feel amazing. My son and husband have noticed the change and are considering doing the C25K too. What’s not to love fresh air and the feeling of achievement all add up to that walking on air feeling. It’s the best thing I have done. I am 67👍

You are so right. I’m nearly 50 and have never run in my life and completing c25k was one of the most enjoyable experiences ever. I’m nursing a minor hamstring injury right now but I know running is with me now forever. Best of luck on the rest of the program Kath!

Absolutely true! It's completely deflated the spare tyre I was starting to develop. People keep telling me that I look well.

Totally life changing, about 5 years ago I wouldn't be able to run for a bus, now I'm running parkruns every week, and now looking to move up to 10k, haven't felt this good since I was young.
