This time last year I started couch to 5k and was over 16 stone out of breath on the 1 minute run and on 3 high blood pressure medications.

Yesterday I ran 10km in 51 minutes have lost 3 stone and need no medication.

Still go out for curries and a few beers it’s the running 3/4 times a week that has led to the weight loss.

I’m 53 years old and can’t thank everyone at this app enough for helping change my life for the better.

Happy Runniversary. That is fantasy news about losing 3 stone and getting off yours meds Niceysheroes!

C25k really is a life changer. I cried when my GP said that I could stop taking the hypertension medication and she said that only 1 in 100 can achieve that.

Shout it from the rooftops “running is good for you, physically and mentally!

Congratulations to you Niceysheroes on running that PB 10K in 51.18 at only a year after starting C25K, there are not many here that can run a sub 60 minute 10K in such a short time, let alone just over 50 minutes, also, well done on your weight loss, double celebration.

Huge congratulations Nicey! 10k in 51 minutes is brilliant (it takes me twice that!!). That you’ve lot weight and been able to stop your medication as well is also worthy of celebration! Feel proud - you did it!
