This is a repost in view of the extreme temperatures ... I have posted this on Bridge to 10K also.

Many of us find that it is tricky to acclimatise and find the heat so draining.

I am putting this up again with tweaks! No need for replies, but please do READ this.

It's hot...!

Some of us, many of us ,are struggling.... and what is worse, worrying about not doing runs, or doing runs badly, slowly , or painfully.

Time to stop.... and just start to be a tad more kind to yourself.

Please... stop worrying, stop getting hot under the t shirts, but if you do intend to run;

* Wear the right gear, run early or run late.

* Hydrate well, all the time, not just on run days.

* Find a shady route if possible.

* Take it even slower and steadier.

* Think whether the run is REALLY necessary.

Lastly...use the time to ;

Relax.... refresh.... recharge:)

Thank you Oldfloss - I had to remind myself of this as I was running this morning. I was getting irked by my slower than normal pace (which is already slow) and then I mentally kicked myself and thought “Behave! You’re running. You’re healthy, sure, you’re slow and sweaty but you’re running. Shape up and ‘lean into it’ and enjoy yourself.” And I did. 😊

Or ... try running indoors on a treadmill, provided there is decent air-conditioning.
