I went out for a lovely run yesterday, listening to the lovely Laura on C25k+ instructing me though some speed intervals. I ran 2.2 miles, very enjoyable.
We then drove to Manningtree to do a 7 mile circular walk from a book. It's beautiful round there - Constable country - and there was a welcome breeze. We had set off a bit late so we started walking at a good pace and all was going well until we discovered to our horror that a bridge we were meant to cross was no longer there (we googled later and found it had fallen into disrepair so was dismantled in 2020). This meant we were stranded on the wrong side of a deep and fairly wide river! The detour we had to take turned our 7 mile walk into a 9 mile walk, which quite impressively took us only a tad over 3 hours. So my total mileage yesterday was 11.2 miles. Needless to say, today is a rest day, and tomorrow may be as well!
No photos sadly 😳
