Yay! You're doing so well, how are you finding it?

I'm definitely enjoying it when I've finished each run!! It's not as easy as I had hoped at this stage, but equally not as difficult. I know I can run 30 mins next week and am totally motivated to graduate. I just hope it gets easier at some point so I can really properly enjoy it.

How are you doing, Liono?

Very similar here. I'm getting more aches and pains than I was which is worrying me slightly but nothing that hurts badly when I'm actually running - just soreness below the knees and in my thigh and calf muscles afterwards and the next day. I'm taking extra rest days so will take a bit longer to graduate, but like you am utterly determined to do it πŸ™‚

Good for you! Two things might help the aches and pains. Are you stretching before and after each run? I've done this religiously since w3 and don't really ache at all during or after. Also I read in the paper this morning that oats help with banishing muscle soreness after workouts. I have a bowl of porridge every morning so perhaps that helps too 😊

So glad you are as determined as I am, and look forward to seeing you at the finishing line and beyond! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ€—

I always do the static stretches after a run but don't tend to do the dynamic ones as I always seem to do more harm than good when my muscles are cold! What I probably should do, is do the 5 min warm-up walk and then some dynamic stretches, which is trickier to fit in.

I find a hot bath in epsom salts seems to help. Not sure I could face porridge in the warmer weather but might do myself some overnight oats instead, thanks!
