No I don't think that it is wise to run thinking that someone is chasing you, the motto here on C25K is "slow and steady" so that IF you were running for your life with someone chasing you then you might get away, but just training to run is NOT to pretend that someone is chasing you, if you follow this course you will still get plenty of exercise and adrenalin as well.

Counterintuitively, if you want to build your stamina, strength and endurance then you need to run at a pace at which you can comfortably speak aloud clear ungasping sentences as you run.........if you cannot, you are going too fast. You can work on speed later in a carefully structured way, once you are less likely to injure yourself.
