So pleased I did it. Was definitely a mental battle and that was even before I left the house 😃.
My calf are still aching and trying not to look at stats as know that will knock my confidence. I want to run for health rather than win a race and shouldn't compare myself but it is difficult.
Let's see what wk5 r3 brings......

Well done for getting out there. You’re right to not look at your pace, the key thing is to slowly keep at it. Good luck for the next one. I really enjoyed W5R3.
Stats? There’s a few important ones… time ran… so you’re getting 10/10 there and of course awesomeness, again a 10. A little aching is the reminder of just how amazing you are… keep those legs moving between runs and they will recover sooner… I feel strange these days if I sit for more than an hour!
Well done on run 2. Mind over matter for the next run. Leave the house with "I can do this" and you can. Trust the plan. You've done the hard work to build up for this one. Good luck and stay positive.
Something to consider if you're finding your stats hard to avoid... Each run this week is different (and ideally a bit slower to prepare us for each longer run) so after a few more runs or even after the programme do this run again then compare the stats. I enjoy stats also but try to pick different areas to measure, e.g. run might be slower but breathing felt much more comfortable and heart rate was more steady.
But regardless of any stats you see... Focus on main positives, able to complete the run, avoided injuries that will stop you getting out again and wow... Week 5 run 2... Already? Didn't see the time go by when I was still panicking going from week 1 to week 2 😂
