So, it took a little over two weeks for me to more or less fully recover from Covid, it really did a number on me. But today, I went out and tried to pick up where I left off, Week 3 Run 2. And to my absolute surprise, I managed to push through. Granted, the last 3 minutes were pretty hard, but I made it! I am so incredibly relieved to have found that I did not lose much of the progress I have made during those last few weeks. Also, I finally registered for the run on June 19th. Took a little convincing from my colleague but now, I'm officially in and I'm actually looking forward to it with a lot less dread than I was before she gave me this motivational speech.
Folks, I'm back, and I am sooo happy right now!
Have a good one!

Thanks, that is a very interesting article! I'll see how I get on, what I can say is that I went even slower than I usually do, which basically means there wasn't much difference between the brisk walk and the jog with regard to the pace I was going. My goal was to see whether I can still jog for 3 minutes, as I seriously doubted that. I might stick with week 3 for more than 3 runs though, if I don't feel ready to progress to week 4. Just happy to be at it again
Glad that you’ve fully recovered. I’m in a similar position but am still congested so I’ll have to wait another week. I’ll add some walking in first. Glad I stumbled on this post and the article.
I hope you get better soon! Yeah, I was congested for about a week after my other symptoms were gone and did a few light excercises for my leg muscles at home. I'm sure walking is a good idea and I hope you can get back to running soon. Enjoy your walks - here, at least, the weather is perfect for that right now!
